Will there EVER be a US tour? :-(

From Roastinghouse:
"I'm also working really hard together with INSIDEOUT MUSIC AMERICA to
get the guys over to the States to tour....... As You probably know, the
prog
market in America isn't the best, but of course we are determind to make a
change on that, and we feel that PAIN OF SALVATION is the sort of band
that could do just that, it's original and fresh, without being "difficult"
and last
and most important; incredible melodies......... that's the key !!!!

IOMA will promote the band as top priority in the States, so we are all very
excited. I can also promise You that all of the record companies involved,
around the world, have a deep true passion for PoS, and that's VERY
important!"

Is there any information on setlists available?

Not for this tour with Arena (yet), but this was posted to the mailing list:

>Hey there!

I was one of the lucky few who saw PoS' concert in Gävle, Sweden
(where I live ;) a couple of weeks ago :D Despite the sound engineers
having a bad time (they were imbecils :|) the band rocked. (Big
surprise huh? :)

This was what they played that time...probably not a good indication
on what will be played on the upcoming tour though...just have to
boast that I've heard 3 new songs :D

People Passing By
Revival
! (Foreword)
Ashes
Some other new song
a Pink Floyd-esque short break with keys and soft guitar bendin' :)
(don't know if this was something off the new album though...)
Used
Inside
Inside Out

If my memory serves me right, that should be it :)

Used was amazing. Some REALLY tricky rhythmical patterns/syncopated
structures there :)

How do they pull this stuff off onstage?!

Daniel Magdic let us in on a few guitar secrets on the Concrete Lake:
there are a few drop d tunes for example inside, water, stress, winning a war, black hills. On most of the songs it's only my (and Johan) guitar that d-tuned. I actually rearanged some songs to fit d-tuning (and I know Johan rearanged some more) just to make it easier on stage. The big machine has the d- string tuned down to c, a-string to g and low E to C. On New years eve one guitar (Johans) is tuned as usual but with the low e tuned down to A. Inside out low e is tuned down to B, a to a F# and I think d is B too but I don't remember right now. I'll have to check on my guitar. Hope this helps you a little. If you have floyd rose type of wammy you might have some trouble :-)

Are there any pictures of live shows available?

Mattias Noren has some great pictures of the release party for The Perfect Element - Part One. Check them out at http://www.progart.com/pos/index.html.

Remember to turn your head :-).
